.......a complete and utter fool for feeding 'empty' containers? I've just fed my 10 littlest ones and the only one visible was my tiny E.sp Red, Copper.

Not really. Some species are just reclusive and don't come out very often. I'm fine with that.

@Chubbs I know but I find it so frustrating that I don't get to see them growing up. I have 6 that I haven't seen since the day they arrived, one going back 4 months. A few have enlarged their holes so I guess they have moulted but no sign of any exos. At least the food seems to disappear quickly so I guess they're doing ok.

I've just learned to live with it. If it frustrates you, then perhaps you should stick to less reclusive species.

I'll just hope that they'll appear one day and give me a treat :).

long story short No.
my 1/4"-3/4" are in a vial then they get moved to a 2"x2" until they're nearly 2"
then it gets interesting for arboreals I go to a 4"x4"x8". Terrestrials get shoebox Rubbermaid. Then they go into forever homes, therefore, I see them every second stage or so.

I meant this as a jokey thread. I knew what to expect when buying tiny slings but as I was standing there last night I just thought if any non-T keeper saw me feeding these 'empty' containers they'd think I was completely mad.

My trapdoor spiders never appear out of their burrows. But when I feed them, if you are patient enough to watch and wait, WOW! Makes it all worth it to me. Your burrowing T's should do the same thing for you but sometimes it takes a while to see them eat.

Between my scorpions, old world burrowing T's and trapdoors they are all simply nice pet enclosures. The solution is to simply own dozens of them so there is always some action going on. :).

Again, something spectacular about them when you do get to see them. Can't really explain. Part of the addiction I suppose.

Yes, I let out a whoop of joy at the sight of my OBT last night. It's the first I've seen of her for a month and a half.:D And this was all I got to see.

totally agree i have a few T's that build these elaborate web tunnels and rarely see them but when i do it is great. Like my emerald skeleton and cobalt blue.
