Do you save your molt?

Just curious how many do?
Since I am a new tarantulaholic, I keep them,. I put them in a baggie, and label each one.

I kept them when I was a kid...I guess I thought it was neat. It just turned into a giant itchy collection. Now I just sex them and toss them. I have alot of spiders now so I can easily have hundreds I just a month or two.

That's highly understandable. I have to save their first molts. Probably won't keep doing it's

I should take a picture of all my A. geniculata molts. I have every molt from the first time she molted in my care to now (2" - 7").

I have a box they all go in. I've seen people sell them for like $40 a piece before. Not saying this is a feasable business but I think they're better than garbage. Who knows

He has a point...molts are disgusting. Place a fresh molt under magnification and your skin will crawl from seeing all the microscopic crawlies. Spiders shed these not only for growth but to cleanse themselves once they are mature.
Yes disgusting people do collect their fingernails.

I had a chronic ingrown toenail on my left big toe. The doc cut both sides off, and destroyed the nail bed. Now, if I let it grow, I have a raptor talon. It has a point and everything. I can slice pizza, or use it for self defense. It's also good in the shower, if I drop the soap I can just stab it with my talon and flip it up into my hands again. Just thought I would share, since we're talking about gross ****. Oh, and @Arachnoclown : You have similar little beasties crawling all over you, right at this moment. On your sheets, your pillow, everywhere in your house I've always found that fascinating..
