Do MM Balfouri hook out?

Hey guys,
I spotted what looked like emboli on my balfouris padipalps (the fleshy dark redness behind the toes). I tried to get a photo but its scurried back into its tunnels.
It doesn't have hooks though, and I've heard not all tarantulas hook out?
It doesn't look particularly lanky, so I'm not sure. I haven't been able to get an intact molt so it's currently unsexed.

Got some photos!
So mature male or no? Definitely no hooks, but I’ve not seen a female or a juvi male with the fleshy redness.
