Do I need to save him?

The unnamed sling that I've had for about a week is not visible and I don't see in his enclosure any sort of tunnel. Is it possible he's buried and I need to get him out of there? I'm worried that he built a tunnel in and it collapsed on him. Do I need to be worried?

I haven't seen my p.auratus in almost 3 months.
It will be fine, maybe just preparing to molt.
Keeping T's needs a lot of patience.

Yes. you are right and I am new to T.'s Thank you for your reply. I just read a post from the Veteran Tom Moran about tarantulas burying themselves and he says to leave them alone. He says they can dig themselves out and often bury themselves for molting or just to chill. I'm happy I found out more before doing something potentially harmful like digging around to see if he was ok. That might have killed my kid. Thank you again. 3 months is phenomenal. I'm impressed and have learned from you.

I haven't seen my pumpkin patch for months. Can find no sign of webbing or any sort of a burrow entrance, but I keep servicing the water dish and the prey keeps disappearing

Awww... I love the name pumpkin patch. My little kid hasn't been named yet. Thank you for sharing your experience. Very helpful. His water dish from etsy showed up today. I will keep filling it and I will leave prey once a week and removing it after 24 hours. Honestly, I think he is probably staying away from my prying eyes. I am hopelessly in love.

Pumpkin patch is the common name for Hapalopus sp. Columbia :D Mines called Pumpkin Jacque (will be renamed Pumpkin Jack if it turns out male)

We all start with zero knowledge.
Asking questions, reading up and watching vids is the best way to learn.
