Damp substrate?

Do people dampen half of the substrate to raise humidity or so the t can walk on it? i've seen people who keep a.geniculatas in enclosures with only water dishes and no damp side. i read that you have to overflow water dishes for a.geniculatas

You don't HAVE to overflow the dish, some people just choose to. Everyone has their own methods when it comes to things like this. Some methods are more effective than others, but as long as there's a water dish to begin with, then I see no issues.

That and let it dry out...or u r gonna get mold or other nasty things.
