An oscillating tool works wonders if you happen to have one.

In the lab I use an oscillating bone saw that we "borrowed" from veterinary surgery (don't tell them where it went). It does an amazing job on soft materials like cork. Nothing like having a five-thousand-dollar tool for a fifty-cent job!

Typically I will use a coping saw. I have used a side grinder with a cutting wheel but the coping saw gives you a little better control over the cut. Sometimes if there's a seam in the bark itself I will just break it. I have used a hack saw as well. Good luck.

I either use a pruning saw. Or if the bark looks/feels fragile then my rotary multi tool. Dremel type tool.

My rotary multi tool is also very useful for cutting small terracotta flower pots in half & then smoothing the cut edges. To make nice hides for various sizes of smaller T's.

I have actually started using small terracotta flower pots but don't halve them. Absolutely love cork bark but the flower pots give your enclosures a different look which I like instead of all my enclosures looking almost like clones!!! Lol! Happy Spoodering!

Need to notch for a hole in the lid for the LED light power cable...

I might also need to drill notches or small holes in the lids to run the misting system hoses. Haven't put those pieces together yet.
