Not particularly. :) They can get their toes caught and lose a leg or two as they are left dangling (or get hurt from the fall). I replace my screen tops with drilled plexiglass to avoid the possibility. Plus, the cobalts need moisture, and those screen tops just allow everything to evaporate so quickly.

What he said. Worst case.....get packing tape and put a 4" border all around the top screen. Kind of like a picture frame. That way it can't climb the screen. It'll keep it from hanging.
Best case is cut thin plexi and fix it to the underside of the screen. If it's a glass enclosure, u need to drill vent holes for it tho. If u don't have plexi, ul need to completely seal it with packing tape and poke holes, or use cardboard and do the same. Mesh lids are the devil

Thx for your replies ! She did make it down alright and has now disappeared into her "pet hole." Is there any particular reason a normally borrowing spider would venture out, hang out on the top corner opposite her borrow and then hang from the top of cage ?

Are you sure she's a "she"? On your photo, the body shape looks a little bit as a mature male, and it's almost as if I can see the emboli at the tips of the pedipalps. But the picture isn't clear enough for me to be sure about this. If he's a mature male, then it would explain the wandering...

Look closely. It's def a mature male. I'm pretty positive I can see the emboli in that photo. Mature males n females have different shaped pedipalps because the males have these emboli.
Take a clear well lit photo so we are sure, but I'm 99percent already

Good call on the tape, I hadn't heard of that. I've been putting off buying a piece of plexi but as soon as I read that i went in and taped up the screen of my gbb enclosure. Problem solved (at least for now)!

I just purchased a cobalt blue yesterday. It has only been 24 hours, but she went right up the glass and has stayed at the cage top the whole time. I gave her a lot of substrate. I guess sometimes they do the opposite of what you expect.

Two of my three did that initially too. Give them another day or two and you'll never see them again until its time to move them.

I appreciate the comment. Was a little concerned. I guess I should enjoy her beauty now while she’s out. Lol. This is why I have three more t’s on the way. Quadruple my chances of seeing one to enjoy.

This is why for most of the people on here a collection of 1 turns into 100s :)
