Hi folks
Me back again with some silly questions but I guess this is right place to ask this haha.
I would love to get a Brazilian black big fan I know they are a dry species but there is one thing I can’t get my head around.
I have a friend who keeps his juvenile on bone dry substrate basically straight out of the packet into the enclosure it’s loose coconaut fibre he uses and moistens the corner with the water dish or over flows it. I have also seen other people doing this with the same substrate and some others such as habitat & spiderlife bedding.
I have heard that Brazilian blacks do occasionally like to burrow shouldn’t the substrate be wet to start off with but not soaking as in water doesn’t come out when you are squeezing?
Can the substrate ever be too dry?
