I have my C. elegans coming today.

My daughter wanted a H. Columbia. I tend to stick with Swifts Inverts because I have had a great experience all around. He had the C. Elegans. I understand the dwarf species tend to be flighty. Has anyone kept both? They seem similar in husbandry but any minor differences in care, temperament?

I have kept both. My C. elegans weren't as "flighty" as my H. columbia. They are both fairly hardy to keep. Just keep a reservoir and overfill it ever so often and you'll be fine. :) H. sp. columbia are prolific webbers as well. Don't expect to see either species too much as they tend to burrow. My H. columbia would come out and explore sometimes and my elegans was RARELY seen at all. I would recommend them both but if you want more of a "display" I would go with columbia as they tend to be out a bit more than elegans.
