They are probably actually better for all tarantulas except for viewing of the spider. Exo terra are excellent for arboreal spiders but are worthless for terrestrial.  Zoo med low profile enclosures are the best glass enclosures for terrestrial spiders. Their screen has a little too much ventilation so it should be modified.  Personally I perfer to build my own arboreal tanks out of 10 gallon fish tanks. I can build 3 for the price of a exo terra.
