Hello all, newbie here. I've just picked up my first T since my young (and ignorant) days of catching local T's many years ago.

I just bought my first Chaco Golden Knee. I'm told she's around a year old but she seems a bit small to me. They don't claim a 100% sex guarantee but I'm told it looks to be a female. Yay! I'd say she's probably in the neighborhood of 2-2.5 inches. Thoughts?

I would guess she is more than a year old. I don't have a pulchripes so I can't speak of growth rate from experience but being a grammostola they are very slow growers

Of the Grammastola genus pulchripes is one of the faster growing. I'd even say medium speed. If you keep her on the warm side (80f) and feed her often you can get some faster growth out of her. They seem to slow down at about 4". Mine hit about 4.25" on her last molt in March and hasn't molted since. Before that she would molt at least once every two months. Enjoy, they are wonderful T's.

Good to know, I'll keep that in mind! I've just fixed her cage up from recommendations on my other post.. Ill share soon.

I'm thinking it's still too soon to feed her, what are your guys thoughts? She's staying hidden, that's for sure. Lol
