@octanejunkie It's about 0.5'' dls 7th instar. Normally I'd feed it a few pinheads but my order got lost in the post so I gave it a small cricket. It didn't eat it so unless I get some pinheads soon I'll use prekilled.

Hi Enn!

Delighted to see that your baby Avic is doing well. Mine were about that size when I first got them. Just as another food option, I started my Avics all on flightless fruit flies. They seemed to climb up to where the baby was in the enclosure better than pinheads, and I didn't worry about leaving them in the enclosure. Just a suggestion. They are so pretty as babies!

@#Angela# Thanks. It seems to be doing alright, there are little bits of web appearing here and there and I went to remove the cricket only to find it in the Avics clutches so all is well..

Great news!! My PZB sling hunted down its first cricket this week. Caught it, drug it down into its cave, and then did the "happy dance." This is my first terrestrial sling, so it's fun to see it develop!

@#Angela# I love watching their antics. Our big P. vittata made me laugh this morning. She was on the side of her viv when I walked into the living room and I must have startled her because she did a full 360 deg spin on the spot, then went the opposite way round, took 2 steps towards me and just stopped and stared at me then slowly walked away to her hidey hole.

Just a quick update on these 3. They have all eaten and begun webs. The Avic is very active considering it is missing a couple of legs, spending a lot of time up in the lid. The 2 tapis are completely different, one choosing to stay on the back of the cork bark whereas the other scuttles around.
