A. chalcodes new homehome

Got the larger enclosure in today for my son's chalcodes.

He's down with a cold so I didn't get as many pics as I wanted.

Here's the new home fully assembled.

My little dog was feeling left out so we included him. He gave it his approval.

The finished home ready for Astrid to move in.

And Astrid checking out her new digs. Right after I took this pic she went to drink from the water dish.

She was really easy to rehouse. No threat pose no hair flicking. Calmly went into and out of the catch cup. Total opposite for how she had been. Maybe she's settled in finally

I didnt even noticed it double "home" until u said something. lol. I was going to say at the 2nd pic there that, that spider looks like a dog! lmao. nice enclosure. where did u get it may i ask and was it expensive?

The dog was jealous we weren't paying any attention to him so he got to test the enclosure. I put him in then took the pic. After that he spun a couple circles then laid down inside and sniffed around a bit. We had to take him out or he probably would have fallen asleep. He's crate trained so I guess he figured it was his new crate when we're at work and school lol

Amazon compared to pre-built acrylic enclosures it's cheap. $43 US is what i paid, just checked and they're out of stock now. Same thing happened with the Crystal-Zoo enclosure i bought Went back to get another and they're not available. I totally forgot that the chalcodes was flicking hairs when my son took her out of the old enclosure. So like an idiot i took all the substrate out of that one, pulled what little web was in it out and mixed it with a bit of water to moisten and added it to her new home. Took an hour or so to realize my mistake, the side of my hand itched like mad for about 24 hours lol. Last time i'll do that.
