I haven't been able to buy crickets because was moving. But I've had crickets for a week now, and I try every other day. I put a cricket in there and he either seems just too slow to attack it, or he's just defending himself and doesn't want to eat. I left a pre killed in there all night and he just scrunched up in the corner like he didn't want it so I took it out. I'm kinda concerned

I wouldn't be concerned about that at all. Probably just premoult. Just keep offering it some food every 2 or 3 days. When was the last time it moulted?

Edit: My Brachypelma annitha sling went 50 days at 1/3" before moulting, and then another 12 days after moulting.

Thanks that makes me feel a lot better. I knew older tarantulas can go a long time without eating I was just worried since it was a sling. He probably is in premier. Last molted July 18

Yep i'd say premolt. My little 1" sling G. rosea goes for about 6 weeks or so without eating and a week or so after molt before she eats again. For ones that don't have the fasting quirks of the rosea ;) my B. sabulosum and B. albiceps both go about that same 6 weeks between feeding counting before and after molt.

My spider successfully molted for the second time in my care :) it was just strange because after its last molt, I waited a week to feed and then fed it again 5 days after that, and that was the last time it has eaten anything. It was just weird it only ate twice that molt
