This was actually super cool to read and very informative. I seriously appreciate this information in general. I realize now that I should have clarified my post (so, my apologies) I was looking for a size guide based on AGE, not by species or genus. Truly my apologies for not mentioning this in...
I am always window shopping for T's and I'm embarrassed to say that when I see "1/2" or any measurement I am absolutely lost. Has anyone ever made a nice, detailed guide on T sizes with photos? Hopefully this doesn't get rude comments but I'm a visual learner.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't relate in Tarantula terms but in other pet terms I know having back to back losses sucks so much. All you can think of is "what did I do wrong?" but in many cases it's totally out of your control. I agree with Enn, I've bought a contaminated bag of substrate...
Hi again!
So, many of you were introduced to Kevin, My juvy B.Hamorii. Well...I have had him since May 11th and unfortunately I had been over feeding him. I thought two small (Not pinhead, just generally small crickets) crickets a week wouldn't been too much and it turns out I was wrong LOL...
Kevin got an upgrade and we were able to measure him! He is two and a half inches DLS.
LOTS of burrowing depth, 3 different hidey spots, a water dish, and lot's of plants for him to uproot and destroy!
EDIT: Kevin is on a diet :C I have been over feeding him, oops.
Thank you guys so much for the warm welcome! I got the best advice when someone told me that you can keep T's in larger enclosures as long as you fill it with stuff so that's just what I did today!
