My adult P. Cambridgei recently webbed up both side vents in her enclosure. I do have some holes in the top, but the side vents were the main ventilation. Should I ruin all her work? Been keeping Ts for over 20yrs, and I've never had this happen.
She was up on the side of enclosure so I could see her underside up close this morning, and I didn't see any mites in the joints or mouth parts where I know the congregate. My dubia and cricket colonies were both infested mildly. I got rid of those and cleaned up. All I can do is hope for the best.
No, I don't see them in the joints. I grew up my GBB from a tiny sling. Just noticed mites moving on my T's enclosure and a few moving on her abdomen. Then I looked at my roach bin and saw some mites. All my other Ts don't seem to have any in or around enclosures. Did a thorough cleaning of my...
I use dubias, have for many years now. My dubia colony was infested with mites pretty bad. I got rid of those roaches and the infested crickets, cleaned everything thoroughly, and I hope that my gbb enclosure, all of my enclosures for that matter are mite free. Thanks for trying to help!
Just found mites in my cricket keeper, and some in with my roaches. I wanna scream! What can I do? I'm in tears. I just fed my P cambridgei a roach from that bin as well. Don't know what to do!
There is just a patch of white dots on abdomen in one spot, and there doesn't seem to be any movement of the dots. I put her enclosure in a different room away from my other Ts. I'm so worried!
I am a 20+ year tarantula keeper, and have a problem with my GBB. Under the urticating hairs on the abdomen are a bunch of little tiny white spots. I am worried about my girl. If anyone knows what this is, possibly mites I have no idea. None of my other Ts have this. HELP!
She'll make more room if she needs it, but if she's in the tunnel, then there's enough room for molting more than likely. I've seen fossorials and terrestrials way down in their burrows molt fine time after time. I'm sure she knows what she's doing. No worries.
No worries, I've had Ts not eat for many weeks. Some Ts will eat up to the day of premolt, others are finicky. It sounds like premolt to me. They will go into their tunnel and block off the entrance. I wouldn't worry a bit. My GBB was in her tunnels for 3weeks before molting about 10 days ago. I...
