Thanks. I will try the box. The plastic tub wasn't working at all.
Lol...my questions wasn't answered...lol. I wanted to know about spinning when after rehousing
How do you measure your heat gradient? What size is the box? We placed the heat mat on the inside of a plastic storage box and it didn't increase heat at all. The only heat was where the heat mat was. What wattage and size was that heat mat?
Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the info on this forum. It really helped with preparing for our sling arrival. She has arrived - breeder thinks she is female, could be male. She arrived on Thursday and have her in her deli cup. Was wondering. She webbed well with the breeder and wanted to know how...
The corn and royal python as well as the crested gecko are on deep heat protector lamps. I just walked downstairs and took the infrared gun and while I wasn't able to measure the ambient temp in the terrarium the adult would live in I was able to take the heat around the terrarium and it was 12...
Ok...but..I'm struggling to wrap my head around the mat story. How would one create an ambience of 25ish using a heat mat? It won't heat the air. Only the glass will be heated.
We in the UK and it it gets cold here. When we are not in the house the temp can drop. The heating also isn't on at night. We would need to use a heat source during winter.
We just checked with our heat gun and the area in the corner on top of our other snakes wooden Viv is bang on 25 degrees. If we place the cup in that area it should be warm enough?
Ok...I went into CFTN and there is a sling available. We have also chatted and my hubby and I will rather use a nano heat lamp instead of a heat mat when the spider gets big enough for the enclosure. How long in general do pink toes take to get big enough to go into the terrarium? I read a...
We own snakes and a crested gecko so know the ins and outs of humidity etc. That is not to say that we know anything about caring for a spider. We are researching and learning all we can before getting anything.
Ok thanks. Yes there are vents along the bottom. Will see what the size is then will start with the cup and come back onto this forum and check I am doing it ok. It looks like will only get a pink toed in a month or so. Not many around in th UK at the moment. Can get the tank sorted in the meantime
Our house on the UK gets below that in winter between having the central heating on and when we not at home. Will need a heat mat. With the cross flow. How is that possible with a glass terrarium? Would the holes along the bottom and top be enough? Will look at u the acrylic to keep the...
