    Thanks guys- I guess that rules out a plant in the cage? I really wanted to add one that isn't fake.. Also We have had her in this smallish plastic cage but she doesn't dig at all. She just sits on top of the soil- why is that?

    My boyfriend and I have a tarantula someone gave us but we do not know what kind it is. It looks similar to the chilean rose, but I read those are more rare? Here is a picture of her. She is big and brown, about 3-4" leg span. Here is a photo of her with our baby!
