Yes, although I don't always keep the cage humid, as I get concerned about the spider fungal infection. Sometimes I allow the dish (and cage) to get dry.
Is this the problem?
I usually keep humidity at 40% to 70%.
Hi guys.
I'm very worried about my Colombian Redknee, which I've had for about three years.
Her opisthoma seems to be shrinking, and her behavior has become more lethargic.
I keep the cage at a temp around 70° -75° F, I mist the cage (and have a humidity guage), which keeps it from 40% to 70%...
For God's sake, don't let it sting you.

It hurts like nothing else.
I looked up the red runner, and it seems that is is already established in Florida.
It does say that it now occurs in South Carolina . . . so I'm betting it's in Florida.
As I said, I'm not technologically sophisticated, and couldn't figure out how to get the camera to focus and magnify properly. I am an older person who struggles with using computers.
No luck. Just back and forth about how I didn't send a photo when the spiderling was too small to get a good picture (I'm older, and I struggle with computers).
I was nicely conned, and there doesn't seem like a lot I can do about it.
