Mature female P. Regalis telling me to leave her alone. Not an aggressive specimen but stressed from deli cup and possibly in premolt so this is the reaction you get
Pokies have better vision then most other tarantulas. I had my P striata in a 2 gallon 8x8x4 enclosure when he was just an inch DLS. He did just fine on small crickets.
I only ever for any bad vibes when he outgrew the cage. He rehoused smoothly and has given me no trouble since.
Great pic & awesome T!!
As long as any of my 4 pokies have enough personal space & I move smooth & slow, they just go into a far corner, pretend to disappear and remain calm. Heck, is almost boring to clean the cage & removal of the T is totally unnecessary.
If it takes them 6 hours instead of 6 seconds to get the feeder, no harm done. The feeder can't climb the glass unless they're hissers or something like that.
@Whitelightning777 thank you for the comment, pokies are a fantastic genus. I've never had a problem with aggression, they're just a little more nerve wrecking because of the potential. This girl just needed out of the deli cup
