A strange order of centipedes, geophilomorpha are often specialized and generally target small fossorial prey, though others are ectoparasites on large nightcrawlers. Care must be taken to not touch your eyes after handling this order of centipedes as they secrete cyanide as a defense.
Wow...a friend of mine has also found a giant geophilomorph in Azusa/Glendora, I thought such large specimens were incredibly rare but here crops up another one...

Strigamia is a very widespread genus with a ton of species, basically every state has an endemic species of strigamia, california has a bunch of different species, some are sierran, others are coastal.
