I have irminia and pulcher. I love them. They both made web tubes at the top when I moved them to larger enclosures, but my pulcher just hangs out in the corners of her newest enclosures. I've done several re-houses and never had any issue with them. They move and behave as expected for a fast arboreal. There is nothing dangerous about a spider in a plastic box in your home. Statistically speaking a five gallon bucket in your garage poses a bigger hazard. (Drowning hazard.) Put the tarantula up high where the kid can't reach it and it shouldn't be a problem. My 12 year old helps me feed and care for our tarantula collection and has her own in her bed room.
