Try changing the substrate or the hiding spot, or maybe add a steak plant or two? Sometimes they act weird like that when they're stressed out or they do not like their enclosure. Just an idea, not positive at all. But after 43 years of raising tarantulas, I've seen this a few times! Lol but it is a good idea to get other people's views as well, some people may know more than I do, we are never too old or experienced to learn new things!
