I've read hours of vendor reviews, but wanted to invite more specific comment. Being sort of new to the hobby as it exists now, I don't want to make beginner mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes I see over on the tortoise forum is being buying from the wrong source. It can lead to disaster. Rather than ask all of their new friends, so many people do an on-line search and end up buying from a big seller with a nice website, but a terrible track record and reputation.

For father's day my daughter and I are going to sit down and order some new spiders together. I've bought from Casey twice and was totally happy, but she doesn't currently have the species I'm looking for. Seven Wonders Reptiles sent me a nice bunch, but they also don't have the species I'm now looking to acquire. I've bought from Jamie's in the past, but I've been reading mixed reviews about them now. Fear Not Tarantulas seems to have good reviews. I also like buying from individual breeders, but that's harder to do when trying to buy several species and keeping shipping costs down.

Maybe this is species specific? Here are some of the ones I'm after:
B alibiceps
B auratum
E cyanognathus
G iheringi
G pulchripes
H pulchripes
L klugi
L parahybana
M robustum
M balfouri
P sazimai
T stirmi
X intermedia

Thanks for reading and looking forward to your thoughts.

Fear not tarantulas has both Lasiodora species you listed.

They also have the blue fang, G iheringi, H pulchripes, M balfouri, & P sazimai.

I haven't used them but they have great reviews. I've also purchased from Jamie's tarantulas and she was absolutely wonderful, totally perfect delivery.

Jamie's has the M robustum, & the T stirmi.

That should be most of them. Jamie's also has many of the others that fear not has.

Palp friction has the B alipiceps.

That should be most of them. Dave of eeriearachnids speaks highly of them and many people respect his opinions. The last one is real tricky to find.

I hope this helps. The other two also have many of the same ones that fear not has. You don't have to unpack them all in one day!! Setting up all those enclosures at once will be a real long day. Getting tired is where mistakes happen especially with the OWs.

You'll absolutely love H pulchripes and L klugi, 2 of the most opposite terrestrials I can imagine. Putting their cages side by side makes for the world's oddest couple in my opinion.

L klugi Justina entity roach 1.jpg

They're all among the most awesome.

Oh, & you just have to do a Pamphobeteus species!! Some are more affordable then others. They're lots of fun as slings because they grow so fast and changes colors.

I have P machala myself, a very pouncy spider that thinks it's dinner time when anything moves. She behaved perfectly when unpacked and when rehoused, even letting me get some footage.

Newly molted tarantulas tend to be more nervous then at other times.
