Pine in particular is a nasty substance to put into any animals' enclosure. Google shows many animal keeper forums list it as a killer of animals. But it is especially nasty in an invertebrates enclosure, as pine contains a natural insecticide. But there are alternatives to wood chip & bark, I buy Coconut Terrain from my local Range & that offers some chunks of safe & very lightweight bark, plus fibres to add to an enclosure surface. I find some of my smaller slings love a small lump of Coconut husk to sit on, or climb on. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Komodo-Coconut-Terrain-6-Litre/dp/B002MJNDQ0
