I use artificial plants a lot. Even my sling pots often have a small artificial leaf in them, so my slings have something to hide under.

I like vine & Ivy type plants. Cut into short lengths, these lay on the substrate of terrestrial enclosures & are safe to walk/climb on. And if it's buried. So what, it makes no difference. For my arboreal, I like to wrap reasonable lengths of vine/ivy type plants around the bark tube, giving my T's somewhere to hide & feel safe.

A couple of my heavy webbing arboreals have several tall artificial plants in with them & the enclosures are a wonder wall to wall. Floor to ceiling mass of webbing now.

I even use those bright pink etc plants that children like in their fish tanks. They are a decoration & add some colour to the enclosure.

Artificial leaf plants for flower arranging, or house decorating often offer cheap & usable alternatives & most pet stores, stock multi packs of fish tank plants.
