Travis - Welcome to the hobby! Fasten your seat belt. Put on your crash helmet. Grab hold of something solid. You're in for one **** of a ride! Your first mission, should you choose to accept it, is to scan through all the webpages in the Spiders, Calgary website. It's becoming a tad outdated and always has been a little disorganized, but I've been too busy with editing, writing, re-editing, and rewriting the book to be able to fix it at the moment. Someday, maybe. After I retire! Stay tuned. Before we can give you much specific info you'll have to tell us what kind of tarantula you have (scientific name, common name, or both, whatever you have), and how big it is, use the "DLS" if possible. That stands for "Diagonal Leg Span" and is defined more clearly in the sidebar of Growing You Own. A lot of GOOD, CLEAR photos will also be a big help . We need to see what the critter looks like from the front, rear, right side, left side, diagonally, from the top, and especially what its belly looks like. We also need to see what your caging arrangement looks like from several different angles. Lastly, the more details you can offer about what you were told about its care will also help us guide you past the garbage that is often disseminated by commercial sources. WARNING: Your newfound little buddy will be giving you pop quizzes daily! Enjoy!
