I work in the oilfield and as I was going down one of the lease roads I noticed something weird looking going across the road. I got out and it was a big black wasp looking bug dragging a silver dollar sized Texas brown tarantula. After some research, I found out that the black thing was a tarantula hawk, which sting and paralyze the tarantula and then drag or carry it back to its nest to plant an egg in so it can feed on the tarantula from the inside out until the tarantula dies, which takes about 2 weeks. So, with that being said, here is the question.Does anyone know if the tarantula will be paralyzed until it dies or if it will snap out of it? If I understood the info on the black wasp thing, I got it away from it before it could plant the egg.
