So I bought my curly hair a week ago and noticed it drinking water from the dish atleast 3 times,I never see my others drink let alone 3 times in 1 week. Is it possible he was very dehydrated when I got it? I hope it will be ok.:(
Yes, very well possible. If they had no water for a while they may drink for a long time. Your spider will be fine now! :)

That is a relief!!!! And I noticed it's in premoult so hopefully it won't have a problem when it does molt.
I recently rescued a B vagans SA that never had a water dish by the looks of it. It took 3 full water dishes before stopped drinking. as soon as the water hit the dish, was drinking. poor thing. all good now and same as all the others where you rarely see drinking. Will also drink a bit more if in premoult as building itself up for the big event. :)

Maybe it's just okay with you knowing. My H Mac doesn't like it when I watch it eat or drink I don't think. I know that sounds weird...

A few of mine will drink like fish a few hours before molting, especially my C versicolor. The main thing is to always have a water dish and water therein at all times. If it dries out to quickly, upsize it. Tarantulas can't drown like crickets can. If you're still paranoid about that, you can put a stainless steel or plastic screw into the dish so it hangs out of the top and touches the bottom at an angle, totally unnecessary of course.

It just began to molt so it was probably rehydrating before the big event,I'm hoping for a girl lol
