Still learning

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've visited and can see things are as exciting as ever. I've had the pleasure of attending a local reptile expo and I have to say it was a great experience! There weren't very many tarantula dealers but I did pick up a Brachypelma albopilosum that is a good 2" in size. It's a gorgeous T with a little bit of an attitude..lol. On a sad note I did lose my GBB..it had molted but must've died shortly after. It has me wondering..are molt deaths common? It's got me bummed out and I'm now searching for a replacement. I really want a B. hamorii but geez talk about pricey and hard to find! Anyway just want to share a little update. Now it's time to catch up on the news and notes..never can learn too much;-)

Welcome back, and gratz on the curly. No, molt deaths are not common. But in my opinion there are certain species more prone to having difficult molts, and gbb is one of them. Thats based off of my own experience and what I've read about online. Others might disagree.
