My curly hair has went deep inside its burrow its been just about 2 weeks since ive seen it. Cant see inside of burrow as its a long deep cork bark. Front of entry is lightly webbed have seen no movement or any thing usually comes out all the time kinda freaked out i dont want to find its dead but also dont wanna move the hide to see since it has done a lot of digging work and replacing dirt to make its home when do i know to check on it or to do anything ??? Just freaked out a bit

This is the somewhat unfortunate part of tarantula keeping and no matter how long you keep them, it always worries you when the T locks itself up with no sign of life.
(this is one of the reasons I don't like fossorials and slings - too much stress on the keeper )

Rest assured 99% of the time, it is going to be fine. Sometimes the biggest risk to a tarantula is a worried keeper so try hard to just leave it. If it's moulting, for example, then your digging it out is a pretty much guaranteed death.

Welcome to the ownership of a pet holes. This is a sub category of Tarantula ownership & involves spending months (or longer.) Feeding & maintaining the enclosure with no sight of the T which you hope is still alive & doing well inside it's hole.

Depending upon size, the disappearance of food is the best sign of life. However if it's a small sling, that is not always obvious.

The most common reason for something like a curly hair suddenly going subterranean is an upcoming molt. This could take days, weeks or potentially much longer. Each T is different. It could also be because your curly hair likes to burrow, I have one that does & another that, never has.

All we can really do is wait & hope. I lost a young hati hati a few weeks ago, I had not seen it for months, food had not disappeared for a long time & by the time I felt I really needed to go looking, nothing remained of it. Given it's age & size, it possibly had a bad molt. And being pre-molt is a reason for food not disappearing for a period of time, days maybe weeks. Also some T's go months with no food intake, just because they want to. So it is all down to knowing your T & giving it time, to do it's own thing. In other words we guess, hope & worry.
