Greetings from Margate : ) I'm a complete newby to this spider thing and it probably wouldn't have occurred to me to get a T as a pet unless my daft neighbour hadn't bought me a Lasiodora parahybana (salmon pink) for Christmas! Well, he, she, it has been living in an old carboy with a couple of inches or so of sub-strate and a log! He, She, It has been named Bernard after a fave author and seems quite 'happy' (?). Bernie has moulted twice in the six months he,she,it has been resident but seems to do nothing apart from hide. Is Bernard lonely? Will hesheit eat any companion I introduce (as I suspect) or will it just ignore it if it's too big to eat? Is Bernie bored? (Do spideys get bored?) As you can tell I Know Nothing (foreign voice) so I would be very grateful for any tips and pointers that you may have. I look forward to 'meeting' more of you at a later date.
