Theyre actually mostly spider-hunters but their venomous silk can immobilze much larger prey. small crickets and roaches should work just fine. Italy is a mediterranean climate so i'd imagine that's probably an oak woodland species. Ive noted the xeric-loving scytodes tend to have much shorter legs.
