[QUOTE="Peaceful Waterfall, post: 48098, member: 3919"] Okay, so I've been looking for a Euathlus Sp. red (with little luck) and have learned that they're harder to find now since Chile has closed for export. My question is, if a vendor has WC E. Sp. red (or any other Chilean species) for sale, would that mean that they came from surrounding countries, or that they've been in captivity since before the export ban? Is it okay to purchase these spiders if they're actually from Chile, or would that be unethical? I'm sorry this question is probably silly... my first guess is they've just been in captivity for that long since I can't find an exact date of the export ban and can find articles from as late as 2013 about importing from Chile (so it's pretty new, right?).
