I am curious, does anyone know if P. chordatus is what used to come in as widenmanni? I can't seem to find anything about widenmanni. I am wondering if they are two different species:)

What I got as wiedenmanni in the 1990's is what's now known as lugardi What came in as meridionalis is now chordatus. But that's for Florida; the names could have been jumbled in other areas.

Thank you Poec, that was what I was wondering. There didn't seem to be many widenmanni available in the nineties. I bought some slings and they took forever to grow up and I never got a chance to breed them. I have some chordatus on the way and am really looking forward to raising them:)

I got w/c adults of both cheap, like $5 to $10 each. Very few people wanted OW's back then.

You are lucky. I had to buy mine as slings from Tarantula Ranch and they were 5-10 dollars each. The cost of living in Montana:)
