My friend is a warehouse manager for Ibanez guitars. I joked "That is like sending the rats to guard the cheese." Then a light clicked on.

I asked if everyone there played or if it was just a warehouse job. He said it was about 50-50. I followed up with how I would talk to vendors at work all the time and you could tell the difference between people who knew the product or just had a job in sales, didn't care what it was.

This really isn't any different. You can also find the same kinds of comments on aquarium boards if you look.

I'm not saying any of it is right, but it is an unfortunate consequence of the hobby. And it is always going to be there. I've been at this a little over a year and I could be here all day listing off the stuff about just buying a tarantula I didn't know when I started. As far as I can figure, voting with your wallet and your conscience is the best you can do.
