After 73 days my juvenile T. vagans has finally removed the dirt door from it's burrow. May look like a hole in the ground to most, but for me it was cause for celebration. Yay!

Still hiding. Definitely bigger from the quick peek I got when it snagged the worm i dangled by the opening.
Anticipation so thick you can spread it with a plastic knife.

It will probably come out at night when it's dark and quiet.

I’ve got a T.vagans (Frida) who’s going to be 13 this year :) . She spent a good 11 years living fossorial and I rarely saw her. It was always a special treat to come in at night and see her before she quickly disappeared back into her den. Now she’s almost always hanging out above ground —- she is stunning!
