OBT acting strange

Hello! I have a mature male OBT who has been acting really weird.
-started refusing food. I expected that.
-started vibrating sporadically (as though he is about to be paired, only 10 fold). His whole body, shaking like crazy. Nothing subtle about it.
-started doing “cartwheels” in an uncontrolled way, around the enclosure. Like being attacked by something that isn’t there.
- stays on its side, legs twitching mid air (happens in and out of his hide), but then, the next minute, it’s over, and he’s sprawled out in all his ginger glory.
That happened twice since last week. I was expecting to find him in a death curl.

Does anyone know what is happening with Charles? (I don’t have a female in my collection)

I know he’s not long for this world but I have never seen this behaviour before.

Has access to fresh water always and I keep offering prey.

His abdomen is so small. He only accepted one meal since his last molt (which is when he hooked out) about 5 months ago

Mature Male; he's pumped full of hormones and all he can think about is mating. They do go a bit crazy sometimes. Most of the things you've stated have been normal in my MMs. Although the lying on their side thing is a new one.

Really?!? My other mature males are much more graceful than that. I was not expecting this. Being on his side, is the bit that is most common when having these “episodes”. The legs underneath him are bent outward, supporting him (like a shelving bracket holding him on his side) his other half is all over the place up in the air, twitching away. The legs will stop…I can see them dropping (like he’s relaxing) but his pedipalps never ever stop. It was kinda crazy to see and I thought I was watching him die. Now that I know what’s happening, I wish I had a mf for him before he crosses the great divide. I’ll try and get a short video of him on his side. Thank you for your response.

Thanks. I enjoyed keeping him. Meal time was always entertaining for such a little dude. I’m sure like most OBTs, he acted like he had a 10 foot DLS lol. RIP Charles.
