Not Eating bc of Winter

I have my arizona blond 2 months. She had a very fat belly when I got her. The store guy said she ate a large roach the day before I got her.She has a span of 1 1/2 inches. She seems healthy and is out on display a lot. I understand that in winter time they may not eat.

I did recently put a 11 watt flood light over her and keep it on til 9 PM to trick her that it is summer.

Thoughts?

Do you have laser thermometer gun to check the temp the flood light is causing at the T's height. You may be overheating her. Additionally Tarantulas may go months without eating so watch the abdomen closely- smaller needs food and fatter doesn't. Also please add photos

Wow that enclosure has carpeting and hardwood floors.
My tarantulas do much better in their enclosures.

That is a very well fed looking T. That is why she is probably not eating they are really good about self regulating
