Welcome!
All tarantulas can be fast when they choose to. Let them settle in.

Pics of their enclosures? You are keeping them separately, yes?

Yes , thank you . The 2 inch curly hair is in a 24 long 8 deep about.
The 1/2 inch 14 long 5 deep. The curly was a little creepy . Not like the pictures Ive seen. Im sure because it is younger. This is a great bunch of perps. Thank you

Are those dimensions in inches?
How much free climbing height does each have?

Both enclosures sound way too large. I have several G. pulchripes the Chaco Golden Knee, including one about a half inch so I will write about that one.
The generally recommended size for most terrestrial tarantulas is about 2-3 times the legspan. So a half inch T really only needs about 1-2 inches by 1-2 inches and a height above the surface about 1.5× legspan. I keep three half inch-3/4 inch G. pulchras and the previously mentionned baby chaco in 2 oz delicups. A bit blurry but here are my three Brazilian Black tarantulas. I suppose i could go a bit bigger, but these are fine. The Ts need to find food easily. Also your little one could get lost/hide so very easily in a big enclosure.

The enclosure you have the 1/2" in is WAY too big. You'll be lucky to find the sling. I agree with @DustyD

You need to put it in a smaller space like a deli cup maybe or something of the sort. The sling will never be able to catch its prey in anything larger than that.

Thank you. I have a sling in a 4×4.
When I purchased the 2 , the bigger is a 2 inch tarantula. The other is 3/4.The place said the size . I was surprised. Im changing them this weekend. Its challenging when one is newish and there is a lot of information out there. Grateful for this forum.
