Most household temps are fine. I have heat mats on some tanks. Thier unplugged because they do nothing... Waste of money. My room gets cold too, now in the winter it's close to 60 sometimes as the lowest. Which isn't a huge concern but they will grow, digest, and so on slower. I do use low watt bulbs above enclosures to raise temps. Most are 50 watt exo terra infrared bulbs. I have them on adjustable dimmers. My pinktoe stays around 75 to 78 Fahrenheit during the day. No need to feed for one to two weeks after getting your tarantula. Probably stressed and not used to its environment.
