How much fun and how exciting is it waiting on the Fed X Gal to bring me a New Monster! I ordered it from 'Blackwaterreptiles.com " and it is a Pink foot Goliath Bird eater. I Have done you all a disservice by not posting a picture yet and for that all apologies. It was Very chilly here in Northern Virgina after being rather nice the last few days. My luck of course. I already had its terrarium set up and as soon as i got that beloved "Box" from fed X i opened it It was packaged ok. Opened it up and there it was ! I carefully opened the top of the container being aware that these tend to be aggressive. I had a scoop ready to round her up if she made a break for it. No movement....I was heartbroken. THEN i took a small stick that i had handy and lightly prodded her and she moved ! I scooped her up and gently put her in the tank I had the space heater going and put a humidifier nearby. She did not move again for a couple of Hours. I went to the Local chain of pets-smart and bought a couple bucks worth of crickets and some super worms. Her abdomen looked really small compared to her carapace. I wondererd if indeed she would eat and dropped in 2 worms by her. Came back in a min after finding out why my Double yellow headed Amzon Parrots were being quiet and yes, just like 4 year old kids, "when they are quiet they are up to something" and yep they were into the Dogs food again and scared the dog under the couch..! Anyhoo i came back and the Spider had a Superworm and was busy gobbling it ! You know how that feels right! way to cool.. so i put in 2 crickets and another Superworm and am going to keep an eye on the situation. I will post pictures VERY soon , maybe in a couple hours so you all can get in on the fun. This sort of thing can only be shared with people that are in the "know" and i bet your as excited as I am ! Cheers all and ill keep you posted !

she is in the 3 inch range and I would venture a guess at 1/5 her full size. It appears as if she hasn't been fed properly at all. When I get her fed up she should be ok and at 1/4 her full size. I don't plan on ordering anything else from this seller again because it looks like they were not taking proper careof her

Ya I heard alot of bad views on black water, I bye from jamiestarantulas, petcenterusa, i heard good news on swiftinverts, netbug, kenthebugguy, jrinverts and tbreeders if/when you decide to get more. To my understanding you don't have any sling's you should get a few they don't take any room at all and you take care of them the same and they do everything like the adults but more skittish lol:D

Anyhoo, The new T is eating well. It had a Superworm earlier today. Later this evening i gave her another superworm and threw a cricket into her tunnel. She grabbed the cricket and i guess thought about the Superworm and snatched it up! I plan on feeding her until she stops eating and her abdomen has some girth to it. At least she eats and is accepting food

I wish someone besides backwater reptiles was offering apophosys slings or even juvies..I refuse to order from them. I've been hearing horror stories about those scumbags for years...

I wish i had been a memeber of this site BEFORE I bought.. In would have bought somewhere else
Hell, at least you got one and it was alive and the correct spider. You don't see those for sale all that much. From what I've read its a tougher species of Theraphosa that gets as large as the blondie. You came out alright :) Any pics yet? :)

Dr. Mengele, I loathe your user name. The ****s were bad people and your name leads me to believe you're a bad person.
