Message: <blockquote data-quote="mrsoul1974" data-source="post: 158365" data-attributes="member: 29262">I've never actually done it myself, but I plan to.  There's a few videos on YouTube on how to do it.  It seems pretty simple.  Basically, you soak the molt in some water with a little dishsoap in it first so it gets nice and soft  After about ten minutes or whenever it us soft enough to pose it safely,  take it out and set it on some paper towels for the excess water to drain.  Next position it on a piece of styerfoam with regular sewing/fabric pins (the kind with the little flat heads on them).  Just put them as close as you can to the molt, using two at each site you pin down, cris-cross style on the legs, then some around the body, etc. until you have it the way you want it displayed and secure so it does not move. (Don't forget to position the fangs, too, if you want to show them off.) Now, get some cotton and stuff the abdomen until it looks good, and use some super-glue/KrazyGlue to close it back up.  Finally, you can put some cotton in under where the carapace goes and then glue the carapace back into position.  Allow it to dry completely (at least overnight). When it dries, it will harden up again, so be careful unpinning.  Now you can use super glue or hot glue to put it in your shadow box.  just a small amount an the underside of the body and tips of the legs should be enough to secure it.  Here's a link to a video that should help, too:  [MEDIA=youtube]GRVFDasp5ew[/MEDIA]</blockquote>
