It's totally normal for Ts to have spots on their abdomen - Sometimes the spot is completely bald, sometimes dark, sometimes just... a spot. Terrestrial new world tarantulas kick / rub off urticating hairs (short, tiny, barb like hairs to cause irritation on predators) for defense and those hair won't grow back until next molt.
