Hi everyone. I’m really concerned about my tarantulas molt. It’s their first once with me since I got her three months ago. Twitch had a pre molt recently; it took about two weeks or so. She just about finished molting this past weekend. The abdomen is layered and I am kind of worried about it. What should I do? The temperature in her enclosure is 70 and the humidity is about the same. I have a heat pad on the side of the enclosure because my cousin keeps it cold in here and my room is in the basement. I always keep water in the enclosure. I was also told that this particular substrate is best for my T because it’s a desert T. She didn’t do well with the soil kind of substrate or sand. She actually didn’t finish premolt until I changed to this dry substrate. Help. I have included pic’s from premolt and post molt. Is she going to be ok? Is she still pretty much molting or? Should I wait to feed her until those layers are gone?? I’m not sure.
