I blame the Lacey Act for my purchase.
Saw this

while purchasing crickets. "Striped Tarantula" for $25. Assuming is an A seemanni. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Thanks y'all. Definitely chill. Was super compliant when I got her(?) out of the store's enclosure, and a breeze to rehouse. No bolting, no kicking hairs, no threat poses. She found a damp spot by a plant and has been parked there for 12 hours. I can't wait till she figures out she's got 8 inches of substrate to play in!

Mine has twice what I put in for her to play with. But only because she moved half of the substrate onto the other half. And she spends her time on the enclosures glass floor. She is a great eater & always out on show, if you look over the substrate into her trench.

Tarantulas are so fascinating. The things they do are absolutely interesting. Congrats on the addition.
Yes, they can be very fun to watch and try and figure out what they are doing.
