I'm losing my mind

My GBB girl Alice was premolt when I left for my honeymoon a week ago Saturday. My brother did not keep her near wet enough despite my clear instructions. She had totally webbed herself inside her little coconut shell. Tonight I moved a bit of the webbing and I saw an upside down Alice....but legs coming down. I assumed she was done, but when I touched the exuvium with a paintbrush it all jumped back. I'm so afraid I disturbed her molt or she's stuck. I'm crying my eyes out. I love that spider with all my heart and I don't know what to do.

this is a terrible photo but the best I could get before she moved back. She is my favorite in my collection. I could hit myself for not increasing her humidity and leaving her be.

OMG, I feel your pain. There are somethings that we just don't have a reset button for. By the way, hope you had a great honeymoon. :)

Calm down. Your GBB is probably going to be just fine. You do not want to keep this species wet at all. They prefer it bone dry. I have never even seen my GBB drink from her water dish. In fact, she webs it up every time I clean it.

Lesson for next time, leave her alone. GBB's generally web themselves into their hides when molting. She's probably fine. Wait a few days, you'll see.
