I am A. henzi...
this is the 4th waterbowl I've had to destroy! Stop putting them in my house - or else!

I have a few Ts that have incorporated water bowls into their burrows and some are now on their 3rd or 4th bowl and my G. rosea sling plays with hers, tipping it on its side and rolling it around her container.

Since "Blondie" is a desert T I have not been surprised by this behavior...maybe she is just bored? or thinks they are egg sacs to protect?or HATES water? but I dont like to get all anthropocentric on my various critters..and this might be bowl #5... this last one only stayed "above ground" for about 3 hours after I pulled it out of her burrow the first time...she hustled it back in! Ts make me laugh...and I have tried blue - green - yellow and white bowls...LOL. And nope - I dont want to glue it down - this way I can humanly pretend she is gaming me!

They are strange little things, I'd love to know what they are thinking.
I have 1 sling who kept filling its bowl with substrate and sitting on it so I added another water bowl. One afternoon the T dragged the new bowl over the other and went back to sitting on the substrate filled one. My first thought was that it was making room to moult but no, it moulted in the tight little space between the bowls and cork bark. It has since dragged the water filled bowl back over the top of the other, back to where it was originally and still sits on the substrate filled bowl.

You could maybe get a bigger one and physically attracted it to the top of the hide or side of the enclosure. The T can still get to it and it'll be harder to fill with dirt unless he or she is determined. Maybe glue would work, must be fully dried of course. Basically incorporate a slight elevation but not so extreme that the T has to climb for water.
