Does anyone here keep Hysterocrates gigas? I picked one up yesterday and have found some basic information. I've given it plenty of substrate to dig down into, and have the sustrate on the moister side. Anything I should look out for or be aware of in keeping this tarantula?

They love deep wet substrate. They will even take a swim if you give them a deep water dish or bioactive setup with a water feature. Too much work for me, lol. My female doesn't come out unless I ask her to. My all time favorite baboon.

My female is almost always out, and as @Arachnoclown said they love deep moist sub. There should be a gradient from the most moist being the bottom, and the top can even be dry. Just fill the water dish and get moisture down into the deeper levels. Just remember for any fossorial to feed them less than your other t's, so that they come out so you can see them.
