Hello, my name is Sean. I have always wanted a tarantula to add to my growing collection of deeply loved critters. Currently, I have 2 bearded dragons and a dog after having to relinquish my large fish tanks to good homes when I moved. I have recently acquired a Caribena Versicolor from my local herps and exotics shop I frequent and the whole family loves it. It took a lot of convincing to get my wife to let me house a tarantula but she finally caved when she saw this sling. I'm still learning a lot and have a lot to learn as there are so many species. I'm hooked, all I can think about is getting another one... Is that crazy? The Versicolor I have is not shy at all, it builds it web on the lid of its enclosure and whenever I open it up to mist the enclosure or to attempt a feeding it likes to scramble to wherever my hand is to catch a ride. It hasn't eaten in 2 weeks, but does drink water. I attempt to feed it every other day so far with no luck. I have been attempting to feed it small Dubia roaches, but am going to try a tiny cricket next. Sorry, I feel I rambled a bit too much but I am truly excited to be here as a Tarantula Daddy. Let me know your thoughts. Sorry some pics may be grainy.
